3/31 Code Combat & Tinkercad

1. Code Combat- until the passing period break

You should have created an account using your school Google email and password.

Continue on your Code Combat quest!  Can anybody finish the forest levels and move into the desert?  

2.  Last chance to Tinkercad!  We will be ordering prints in the near future.  If you have already created something within your $25 budget, create something that could go in the LOMS shop.  Extra credit points will be awarded for LOMS shop items!

1. Code Combat (until passing period break)

You will be graded on your progress!  Go to Google Classroom and open the document: "Code Combat Screenshot"

When you are finished playing Code Combat, take a screenshot of your progress (the map where you select your levels)


Sign Up for Code Combat:
Email: Use your Google Email.  Remember @student.slcusd.org

Password: Use your Google password

For Name, do NOT USE YOUR LAST NAME!!!!!!!!  Use your Scratch username if you like.

Have fun.  You may listen to music on your own device but you may want to use your earbuds to listen to Code Combat. Your choice!

2. At passing period break, you may either continue playing Code Combat or work on Tinkercad.

3/12 Hour of Code

1. Hour of code: Hello Processing.
  • You will need ear buds to listen to the video tutorials
  • Spend about 5-10 minutes on each exercise.  The entire tutorial should take about an hour.
  • When you finish the last exercise:
    • Take a screenshot of your final project including the picture and code.
    • Go to Google Classroom and find the document titled "Hello Processing"
    • Put the screenshot on the "Hello Processing" document
    • Click "submit"
2.  Log-in to Tinkercad and continue working on your project.  We will be ordering our 3D prints soon.  You should be nearing completion of your design(s).

3/9 & 3/10 Finishing touches on Arduino final project

Level 3 project information.  Fill out this Google Form to help STEAM teachers sort you into the appropriate project.

1.  Final Project reflection instructions:
  • This is the last piece you will add to your Arduino Reflection Log (in Google Classroom)
  • What: What were you able to make? Please explain your project in detail. Also, explain what you learned during the final project.
  • So what: What problems did you encounter along the way?  How did you solve those problems?
  • What's next:  In the future, how could you use what you have learned from the Arduino module?  What is another project that you would like to create if we had more time?
2.  Finish Arduino projects.  The due date is today!

3.  Write Final Project reflection and submit Arduino Reflection Log.

4.  Tinkercad
