10/9 Electronic Circuits Module Day 3

Mr. Robinett is gone today, so it is very important that you work together to solve problems.  Remember the Team Building principles:
  • Show respect
  • Leave no one behind
Here is your checklist (do them in order):

1.  Series and parallel circuit practice.  You must complete all 3 Levels!  Read the instructions for each circuit.  Sometimes it will ask you to build a series circuit, sometimes parallel.  Do not click "Next" until you see this:

If you don't see this message, your circuit is incorrect.  Start over and try again.  Help each other.  Leave no one behind!

2. Circuit Math: Remember, Ohm's Law!  V = I * R
On YOUR Electronic Circuits website, answer the 3 quiz questions.  Show your work!  I don't want to see an answer only.  Prove that your solution is correct by creating the circuit in the simulator (click here to download it)

3.  Circuit Schematics:  You guys are on your own for this one!  But I know what a smart class you are, so you can do it!  Click here for a bunch of information about circuit schematics.

Your goal is to create 2 schematics of your own.  One should be a series circuit, the other should be parallel.  Include both of these schematics on YOUR OWN website under the "Circuit Schematics" tab.

If you need more help try watching "Circuit Diagram Video"
  • On your Desktop double-click YouTube Education OR open YouTube and go to the Education channel
  • Search for "Circuit Diagram Video"
  • Click on the video called Circuit Diagram Video.wmv by M. Kreamer
  • She talks briefly about basic circuit diagrams
4. Soldering (pronounced saw-duhr-ing)
  • On Monday we will practice soldering in the MakerSpace.  Do your own research to figure out what soldering is and how to do it.
  • You can search for videos on the YouTube Education channel or research articles and images on Google
5. Create a Scratch project explaining electronic circuits
